Good Morning!
If you came here from Betty's then your on the right track! If not you need to pop over to Mary Anne's and start at the beginning! This hop is purely done out of kindness for a dear friend. Colleen Dickinson lost her daughter in a tragic car accident 10 yrs ago. She entered a contest at Whimsy Stamps to "name that stamp" Hence Valerie's Gift was born! Isn't she just the cutest little thing?
I actually made 2 cards with this cute image! I didn't like the 1st (pink) so much, so I created a 2nd (red)! Both will be mailed to you Colleen! I hope this was as much of a blessing to you as it was for me to be a part of this hop! Now you need to pop over to Theresa's ! May the good Lord bless your socks right off!

I love them both - but I lean toward the red (my fav color). Love all the embellishemnts you used especially with the sparkle.
Ooh, Patti....like both of them but especially the one in red. When your cards started loading my thought was,oh yeah someone has used red on Valerie. Beautiful work as always and I love the Bless your socks off! Happy Day!
Both of them are beautiful Patti. I couldn't choose a favorite because Valerie look sweet in both colors.
I love the pink and purple as well as the red and white and the embossing on both. My first thought was to use red and white but something kept telling me to go green! Both of your cards are beautiful!!
I think Valerie looks so special all dressed up in her red! Love the pink card too, but the red just pops! Gives her a bit of attitude! Great cards, Patti! You rock! Have a good day, dear friend!

Great cards Patti!! I like the way you tilted the image panel on the red card!
Patti,
I love both cards as well and will be honored to have them. This was a total surprise. I' still in shock! I had to work at 5am today so I was just getting around to check blogs and was stunned when I saw that image on Mary Anne's blog. I get to your blogs off Mary Anne's because I can't seem to get them in my side bar. I'm so lucky to have made such wonderful friends through this hobby.
You gals have made what was a dismal week for of warmth and joy. I will never forget this and want to thank you with all my heart!

hugs :)
Both cards are gorgeous Patti! Love 'em!
Hello Patti! Crissy here, the one who drew Valerie's Gift! I have hopped through all the blogs and have come back to leave comments. Let me say first of all, that I have never before done a blog hop with tears streaming down my face. But I sure did today.
What is even more significant that you may not realize, is that I also have a daughter named Valerie. And so I feel there is even more of a connection there.
The fact that I could be a part in touching Colleen in this way has made me feel so emotional, I can't stop crying.
I go about my life, not really thinking about small acts of kindness having so much impact in another person's life. When Denise (of Whimsy Stamps) and I agreed we had to name this stamp after Colleen's daughter, we had no idea of the ripple effect it would have.
There is such a significance to the things we do, whether good or bad. And today I was honoured to see some of that right before my eyes. Thank you for doing this for Colleen, and thank you for honouring and multiplying the small act of kindness from Denise and I. I am really touched that I was able to be a part of it behind the scenes. What a gift you have given not only to Colleen, but to me and Denise as well. Sending hugs to you and your friends.
Crissy Armstrong
these are just wonderful - love em both...flowers are so cool!
