Sweet Sunday Sketch

 

 Good Afternoon!

          I've had enough of spackle and spring cleaning!  I had to go into my

craft room and play a little! I was in need of a "thank you" card so why not

do a challenge to create one? I used the Sweet Sunday sketch challenge.

My card base is very vanilla layered with hakiu dp. I used a little flower from

Any Birdie Home. This is one of the new releases at Artful Inkables.

My sentiment is from Oval All. Well back to work! See you tomorrow with

Easter gone Funky!

Hi All!

Did you miss me? So much to do , so little time!

I worked today, did hair & cleaned the tanning bed.

The tanning bed is one chore I don't like! You have

to take it completely apart and clean, not fun! Then

I went grocery shopping YUCK! Now I can stay

home for my weekend! I have repair work to do in

my bathroom so I will be scarce! I do plan to get 

some stampin done in between layers!

My card today is for the OCC sketch challenge.

I have to tell you this thing just went wild! 

I totally stepped out of the box with my colors!

My DP  from Minds Eye was my jumping off point!

My card base is not quite navy layered with whisper

white and Minds Eye DP. The sentiment is from 

Well Scripted. Well I hope to post tomorrow with

any luck!

 Good Morning!

Remember on Tuesday when I told you I 

won the blog hop prize over at Artiful Inkables?

The prize was all 4 sets from their new release. 

Can you believe it? I couldn't.... well they came

in the mail yesterday. Boy do they ship fast, 2 days

and they were in my hot little hands! LOL! They are

absolutely AWESOME! Well with new stamps in 

hand I thought I should make a card for Artiful Inkables 

Tuesday challenge. The challenge is to make a naughty or

a nice card... our choice. 

 

Yep, I picked naughty! My focal image is from AI's " Sexy &

 Sweet " set. Lot's of fun stamps in this set! My card base is

basic black layered with temping turquoise, whisper white and

Good Evening!

 I'm really, really early for my Thursday morning 

post! LOL! Vicki at Scrapbooking and Crafting

Friends is holding the weekly color challenge. I 

thought it was time to play along! Colors to be used:

brown, sage, white.

 

My image is called Nose Cuddles. It is one of

Nina's new images at Paper Cupcakes. I love 

this image. It's so, so cute! You should check out

Nina's store.... she has great images! My card base

is chocolate chip layered with whisper white and dp

from a mat stack. My picture turned my sage a really

funky color :0( Well that's it for today, I mean tomorrow!

Color Dare 57

 Good Morning!

 It's time for another Color Dare!

This week we have:

   bashful blue
   ruby red
   kiwi kiss (old olive)
   whisper white

Our inspiration piece look so comfy! I 

could climb right in and take a nap !

My card base is bashful blue layered with whisper

white and delicate dots dp. I used the true friend 

stamp set. This is one of my favs! My layout is a 

sketch from Mojo Monday a couple of weeks ago!

Color Chef with a little Mojo!

                                  Good Morning!

I hope all is well with you today! Yesterday Mojo Monday had such a great sketch I had to do it again on Tuesday! The sketch could be done on a square card or a round one. I've never done a round card so I thought I would give it a go! I'm also entering this in the Color Chef Challenge. Colors to be used are green, black and cream. My card base is basic black layered with very vanilla and cottage wall dp. My sentiment is from with all my heart. This was really fun and went together quite fast! Hi All!

I'm back with my Mojo card! This will be quick...

 I have to go to town and buy supplies. It seems our

rep isn't very reliable :0(. Well when I'm in town guess

 I better go by Michael's! :0)

 

My card is a 4x4. Perfect for a note card! My card base

is taken with teal layered with whisper white and sweet pea

dp. My sentiment is from Verve's Beautiful You. Well that's

Magical Monday!

Good Magical Morning!

I hope all is well out there in cyberspace!

I had a totally awesome weekend. It was

great to spend some time with my son, his

girlfriend and my 3 granddaughters. Fun was

had by all! 

Ok, onto my card. It's Magical Monday... Nina

has the cutest little image this week! Lucky Bear

is his name! Super cute! This week Nilla is our 

hostess and she want distressing.

Use any technique for distressing, roughing up your paper 

with your scissors, distressing with inks, sanding, scraping, 

pounding (hehe - do this method if your are mad at someone 

with your meat tenderizer ;o) ~ any technique you would 

consider a method to distress!

 

This was a really fun card! I colored my Luck Bear

with prisma color pencils and OMS. Found the most

wild paper I could find..... it's a kids card hehehe! My

distressing was done with a sanding block. I'm off to find

my mojo ! See you soon!

Good Evening!

I'm here tonight because my DS is in town

They ran to pick up pizza ... so I ran and made a

Good Evening!

If Olga can make two posts in one day...

so can I!  LOL! Really I needed to get

this posted so I could enter it in Taylored

Expressions 100th sketch challenge! 

 

I flipped the sketch and used an oval instead of a circle.

My little precious moments image wouldn't fit in a circle!

My card base is rose red layered with whisper white and

delicate dots dp. My image was colored with copics and

SU markers. I only have a few copics.... I LOVE them.

It's Carol's fault you know! She used Terri's and raved

about them. Now for Carol to rave about such things they

must be great! LOL! It's time for me to fall asleep in my 

chair.... so I can wake up and go to bed! ;)

Good Morning!

It's Color Dare time! We have another 

inspiration and color challenge from Riley.

This is the inspiration piece.

My card is a little funky! But it is what it is!

My card base is basic black layered with

Scrapbook Recipe

Good Morning!

I had such a busy weekend! Got

tons of stuff done, so productive!

I have one of our scrapbook recipe

pages to share with you today! I 

think when we finish this I will give

 it to my DD. 

 

This is a really simple page! I let the dp do all the work

again! It's becoming a habit I think! My card base is 

bermuda bay layered with Welcome Neighbor dp. The

recipe is setting on bermuda bay cut with the scalloped

trim punch. I punched the hearts with my triple heart punch.

Hi All!

to be my "go to set" these days! I love how this

It's Monday and you know what that means!
Magical Monday

When you join in the challenge, you can use

any image you've acquired or use the one

Nina has provided. She also has a great

prize for the winner of the random drawing!

 

How cool is that? Our hostess this week is

Selma. Her challenge for us is:

Use lace (either paper punched or real) and a circle

(the main image and/or greeting stamped in a circle). 

My card today was done with Springtime Friends. This

is a really fun image to work with!

 

I colored the image with SU reinkers and

a blender pen! I really do have a lacy

border on here but covered it up with 

my ribbon..... :( So here is the inside!

Good Sunday Morning!                                            

         Happy Valentines day! I just have to say... I'm married to the greatest guy ever! He is just plain awesome! Ok enough mush! Onto my card.

My card:

My focal image from "Country Morning"

was colored w/SU markers. I used all

of the colors in the challenge on my main

image! I used brilliant blue as my card 

base layered with whisper white and dp

from a mat stack. Added a little sewing

and piercing around the edges for the

Happy Valentines Day Tukker

Good Morning!

I know I've been MIA. I think

I sent my Mojo to Olga's house. She

says no, but I think it's there! I just

made a valentine for my 8yr grandson.

He is all boy... so no frill!

 

I used 2 really old sets... blew the dust off and inked 

them up! Little Trucks and Sweet Talk are the sets

I used! I love how bright and cheery this is! Tukker

will love it! Well I'm off to see if I can come up with

4 more valentines!

Sister Swap

Good, Good Morning!

I have a couple of cards to share with you today!

My sisters Carol ,Terri and myself swap cards

each month. We trade who picks the challenge.

This month Terri is our host! She wants us to 

use red, white & black. With a twist... no valentines!

The only thing I love more than red, white and black is

volkswagons... LOL! I let the dp do most of the work

on these cards!

I love this set! It's just plain fun!

These cards are full of glitter IRL! I hope Carol

Color Dare 54

Good Morning!

I hope all is well with you! Is it spring yet?

I know it comin... My card today was just

plain fun. It took my awhile to get my golfer

dressed but it was worth it!

 

Riley has given us these colors to use this week:

Kiwi Kiss (old olive)

Pacific Point (brilliant blue)

Baja Breeze (bashful blue)

Basic Gray 

Whisper White

I usually get my DT cards made well in advance

of the day they are due. Not so with this one, it 

was a real challenge for me! I love how it turned

out though! My card base is kiwi kiss layered with

whisper white and windsor knot dp. My focal image

is from Art Impressions. His name is Earl. I paper

pieced his clothes with the same dp.The stickies

on the bottom really are gray IRL! The only way I could

incorporate pacific point was on the shoelaces! Pop over

I Heart You

               Good Morning!

   Can you believe it's February? The month of love! It's also Magical Monday.... 

This week Sue is our host! This is her challenge to us......

             I'd like to see the image used in a Valentine gift tag with some stitching somewhere on it. (Stitching can be with thread or also can be hand drawn).

    My card is an easel card. I love making these! SCS has a great tutorial here. 

Nina's cute "I Heart You" image is perfect for this challenge . My card base is rididnghood red layered with

whisper white and sending love dp. My focal image was colored with prisma color pencils and OMS. I cut my heart out of sending love dp and sewed it on with my machine, leaving the top open to slide my tag in.

This is the prize Nina is offering up for this weeks challenge.
