My granddaughter Tristin and I are having

a sleep over! Well you know we had to make

a card..... her very first! It's for her dad's

birthday! First you have to meet Tristin...

 

Isn't she just the cutest? I just love this kid! Ok now

do you want to see a close up of her card?

Didn't she do an awesome job? I'm a proud Grandma!

Well we have to go play more!

Goin Green Post it!

Good Morning!

Guess what Sue.... My mojo was still here in Idaho! All it had to do was get some new SU goodies! LOL! My project today was just plain fun! You know when you get a credit card offer in the mail.... and there's that business letter size cardboard in the envelope? Well I made a post it note holder out of one. Is that green or what? My note holder is decorated on both sides. I simply used welcome neighbor dp, added a little ribbon and there you have it!

It's Color Dare time! Fun colors this week!

We are to try and use at least 4 of the colors!

I used not quite navy, bordering blue, soft suede

and old olive. I just couldn't squeeze in certainly

celery! My card base is soft suede layered with

not quite navy and whisper white. I created my

own background with polka dots and paisley. I

love that old stamp set! My focal image is from

the same set! Well that's it for today!

Sweet Sunday on Tuesday!

Good Morning to You!

I have 2 cards to share with you today! I

actually made a set of 4, only 2 designs!

I followed the Sweet Sunday Sketch....

one of my favs!

I purchased the Do the Hula stamp set off of ebay and just

LOVE it! As I said I made a set of 4 cards. I love the

bright colors! My card base is whisper white layered

with thoroughly modern dp. My flower is of coarse

from Aloha and my sentiments are from warmest

regards.  I love how these turned out!

My focal image is from well scripted.

Flowers are punched out and I inked the

back flower tips with pretty in pink.

 I have several images to share with you today!

Our challenge host is Kim and she wants us to

make a bag or box with the image. Well I didn't

read the challenge properly so I have 2 projects!

I made a book card with all the images for January

first and then made a little coordinating bag! So here

you go......

 

 

For some reason beyond me this last picture will

not load in the right direction. I have rotated and

rotated and it will only load this way .... do tip your

head or hold you laptop up sideways! LOL!

Mercy it's another take!

I have another image from Paper Cupcakes to share with you! I just can't get enough of these! They are so much fun! This one is called " Moss covered Bird House". I love, love, love old dead stumps.... so much life continues after the tree has died. You know like bugs and birds and things! LOL! Any hoo onto my card! I made this card for 2 challenges.... Papertake Weekly and Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. My card base is melon mambo layered with whisper white and razzelberry lemonade dp. My birdhouse was colored with prisma color pencils and OMS!

Color Dare 52

Good Morning!

 I hope this finds everyone well! It's time for another Color Dare Challenge! Here are the colors to be used.

Only Orange
Brocade Blue
Old Olive
Chocolate Chip

 This one took me awhile, but I did it! LOL! My card base is chocolate chip layered with brocade blue and retired dp from SU. I embossed the middle panel and flipped it over. My sentiment is from whimsical words. The only way I could incorporate the orange was with the flower. All in all I'm really happy how it turned out!

     My card today was made with one of Nina's new images! The image is called waiting.... you can get yours at Paper Cupcakes! I love, love, love this image.... so many possibilities! My card base is basic black layered with whisper white and real red. You already know what my image is and my sentiment was computer generated! Magical Monday!

Good Magical Morning!

      It's Magical Monday at There's Magic in the Air! You should check out Paper Cupcakes... Nina has added 27 new images! Super,super cute images I might add!

      Olga is our hostess with the mostest today! She has us doing RBG'S. What are RBG'S you ask.... 

      Lets go with Red Ribbon, Buttons, and Glitter or Something that Sparkles!  Her words exactly :0) I had to cheat a little! I didn't have any red buttons... I did have red ribbon and glitter! So I made glittery red heart buttons! Tons of Love is such a cute image! I really enjoyed working with this charming little elephant! Isn't she just the cutest? My card base is real red layered with whisper white and dp from the scrap heap! I colored Tons of Love with prisma colored pencils and OMS. I made my heart buttons with versamark, iridescent EP and a punch. Pop over the TMITA/PCC and play along! I'll be back with Mojo Monday card !

Just the Sweetest Thing!

Good Sunday Morning to You!

I have to tell you the sweet Sunday sketch has

become one of my favorite challenges! It ranks

right up there with Mojo Monday! That's big..

really big! LOL! I paired the sweet Sunday sketch

with Just us Girls color challenge. Colors to be used

are burgundy,blush, vanilla and gray. Great color

combo!

My card base is bravo burgundy layered with

very vanilla and parisian summer dp. My focal

image is from my dear friend Olga. She is such a

sweetheart! Thanks Olga! My sentiment is from

SU's new set whimsical words. It's one of their

new cling sets! I have to tell you they are awesome!

They have that great quality rubber that SU uses!

     I have a quick post. I couldn't get a real good picture. It's to dark :0( My card is for the inspiration challenge at SCS. We were to take our inspiration from Nell Hill's Online.  My inspiration came from this item on their web site. I love the clean lines! My card base is Gina K pure luxury white layered with night of navy and whisper white. My focal image is from a year of flowers also from Gina K. It was a quick and easy card. I need a sympathy card for a friend and I think this will work.

Of the Earth and I added another embossed butterfly. My card

looks a little pale in the picture but it's not IRL!

Essence of Love

Good, Good Morning!

My card today is for Color Dare! I have to say being

on the design team for Color Dare is a constant challenge

for me! I love the unique color combinations Riley comes

up with!

The challenge today is:

Melon Mambo

Barely Banana

I used Su's Essence of Love as my focal image. I colored my

stamp with SU markers and cut it out with a nestie. My butterfly

was created by using versamark and iridescent ep and cutting it

out with a punch. All in all it was a fun card to make! You should

pop over to Color Dare and join in the fun!  We would love to

I {Heart} CAS!

 Good Morning!

 I hope this post finds you well! My card today is for the CAS challenge at SCS. The challenge was to cut something out and put it on your card! CAS cards are really hard for me.... cause I like lots & lots of layers! LOL! I stamped 3 hearts from SU's new set... I {heart} hearts! I cut out the middle one and popped it up! I then weaved a red ribbon , tied a couple of knots and there you have it CAS!

Magical Miss Kitty

Good Magical Monday!
      Danielle is our host at TMITA/PCC this week. Nina has provided us with this totally cute image called Miss Kitty and Danielle wants us to us stripes somewhere on our project! Miss Kitty was colored with prisma color pencils and OMS. My card base is riding hood red layered with whisper white and ski slope dp!  I paper pieced  Miss Kitty's skirt and bow with ski slope dp. I have a quick post! My card today is

for my future SIL. His grandpa passed just

a few days ago. So I used the sketch challenge

at Diva Coffee Break Designs to create a card

for him!

My card is pretty simple, simple for me anyway! Very few

layers! LOL! I needed a masculine card again, so I hope this

works! My card base is mellow moss layered with dp from

BG wisteria. I used upsy daisy as my focal point!

I then added a sentiment, a few brads and a flourish...

there you have it!

Taylored with Color!

Good Morning!

          I have some exciting news to share. I have been selected to

be on the Color Dare design team!  I'm looking forward to working with the very talented ladies from Color Dare!  The only thing I like better than a sketch challenge is a color challenge! LOL!  Put the two together and you get my card for today!  The colors for Color Dare today are creamy caramel, ruby red and bermuda bay. Fun, fun combo! The sketch I used is for Taylored Expressions challenge! My card base is ruby red layered with whisper white and DP from sweet pea. Just because I wanted to!

Good Morning!

My card today is just because I wanted to!

It seems I hadn't made a card just for the

fun of it for quite sometime! I usually search

for a challenge or two and make my card

around it! Well I went in and just made this

for the fun of it! It went together rather quickly.

This little fella is from Art Impressions. His name is Melvin.

My dad always told me not to trust a man who wears a belt

and suspenders! You just can't trust them! Well I think you

can trust Melvin! My sentiment is from Creative Clear Stamps.

I also finished the inside of the card with a sentiment from

Creative Clear Stamps.

This card was just plain fun to do!

close! I think these colors have a south western flair to them!

            Bet you thought I wouldn't show huh? Well here I am! I had to work this morning! I was suffering from a creative drought so.... no card this morning. However Olga my dear sweet friend sent me a goody! RAK in my mailbox! I don't know which I'm more excited about the birthday book, ( with instructions) or the beautiful card with it! Happy, Happy New Year!

             

                   Welcome 2010!

         I don't know about you but I'm glad the new year is here! As a rule I don't make new years resolutions..... however this year I thought I would give it a try! So here it goes!

• I resolve to keep my studio clean.
• I resolve not to spend so much $ on stampin!
• I resolve to eat less chocolate, pizza & junk !
• I resolve to clean house before stampin!
  

   Thank goodness new years resolutions are never kept! Ok onto my card! I had the worst time trying to make a card today..... very frustrating! I had to put the paper down and back out of my studio very slowly! So I cleaned house, ate a little chocolate and had a cup a joe before I went back in to try again! Still not real happy, but it will do! My card is for the Color Dare Challenge... colors to be used are bashful blue, cameo coral and soft suede. My card base is soft suede layered with bashful blue. I used embossing folders to create the little squares. My sentiment is from the new set called "With all my Heart".
    I want to wish everyone a wonderful new year! May the good Lord bless your socks right off!
