Believe

Good Morning!

I hope everyone had a great long weekend. We have a huge winter storm warning for tomorrow :0( 8 to 10 inches more snow . This is so NOT cool! Since DH can't operate the snow shovel and even the plow is difficult for him I've quit my part time job to pick up the slack. Plowing is actually kinda fun! I'm sure the newness will wear off!
Ok onto my card. This was a really quick and simple card. Another example of how great paper can do all the work! My card base is early espresso layered with riding hood red and deck the halls dp. My sentiment is from Heartfelts believe set. I would get the # for you but DH is sleeping. I added a little stitching and there you have it Wha La!

Rose Bookmark

Good Sunday Morning!

It's the last Sunday of the month and it's also my first post as a Rose!I feel so blessed to be part of such a wonderful group of women! Connie Rose wants us to make a book mark. No other requirements... simply make a bookmark. I've created mine with a friend in mind. She turns 50 this year and is an avid reader. She also works in my shop as the nail tech. I plan on doing the whole shop in black balloons and over the hill stuff all over!

I made a standard size card with a pocket for the bookmark. My card base is riding hood red layered with deck the halls dp (luscious paper).I used Live like you mean it for my focal image. My  pocket was created with nesties added a few pearls and ribbon and there you have it! Have yourself a great day I will be plowing snow :0(

Happy Birthday Mary Anne Rose!

Good Morning!
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I really enjoyed
mine! Both my kids and DH kids were here! Lot's of love
and laughter.... and great food!
My card today has already been delivered to Mary Anne Rose!
This is for her 29th birthday! HEHEHEHE!
This image really reminded me of the birthday girl! She speaks
very fondly of the swans on the lake at her house! I don't know if
these resemble her little friends or not, it just made me think of
her! So pop over and wish Mary Anne a very Happy Birthday!

Lumpy Mail...

Good Morning,
We have -10 with the wind chill this morning BRRRRR! Now it's supposed to warm up. Sure glad we got the snow before the cold, that will save my flowers!
My card today is a bit lumpy-  this one will cost extra to mail LOL! No actually the ornament will lay just about flat! This is another card created with the left overs from our stamp - a-stack. Same design as an earlier card except I added an early espresso layer. Well that's it for today.... off to work I go!

Boob Tube Inspiration!

Good Morning!
I have to tell you the inspiration for this card came off of the tv! We were watching Law and Order and there was a picture on the wall behind Bobby... thus this card was born! I think it fits into the challenge at Joan's Gardens.
1. Create a Thanks giving card
2. Use something Fallish such as Leaves, Pumpkins or Indian Corn (if you don't have a        stamp use a leaf from your tree.
3. The color Green.

4. Some kind of swirl or vine.
I have the thanks, leaves, green and a swirl!  Guess that qualifies! I even finished the inside! If I wasn't so lazy I would go take a picture of it and show it to you...hehehe!
Have you checked out the sale going on at Joan's Gardens?

Christmas Postcard!

Good Morning!

This card was totally inspired by Olga's (with the secret) card yesterday. I totally was in complete awww when I saw her card! Amazingly beautiful! I changed mine up a bit! I used white dp instead of embossing and didn't have any of that gorgeous lace Olga used. I don't have any Heartfelt stamps YET, so I used a new one form the holiday mini. This beautiful image is called Christmas Postcard. It's a wonderful image with so many possibilities. I embossed mine in gold, but it could also be colored and look amazing. My poinsettias are from A Year of Flowers. They are always my "go to " poinsettias! I am entering this in Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge.... just like my friend Olga (with the secret) did! Have yourself a wonderful day!

I love how this turned out! Sorry this is short and sweet but I have a busy day! Have a great one!
