BOO! Happy Halloween!

I hope all is well with you! My g'kids seem to be doing very well! The oldest one we were really concerned about seems to be fighting the swine off! Truly answered prayers! Thanks so much!

My card today is for the sketch challenge over at Stamp TV. My card base is brushed copper from SU. This card stock has a wonderful sheen! My large panel is basic black layered with very vanilla. I embossed my script, which is from rustic rooster with gold ep. My snowflake is from serene snowflakes also embossed with gold ep. I added a few twigs from my Martha Stuart punch and a few pearls and there you have it! This card could be used for Christmas or just about anything else !

Goin Pink!

Good Morning!

I have a non- traditional Christmas card to share with you today! My card is for the challenge over at Pals Paper Arts. The challenge is to go pink in honor of breast cancer awareness month. I love pink pirouette and sage shadow together, they just make a cool combo! My card base is sage shadow layered with whisper white and pink pirouette. My snowflake is from serene snowflakes. I stamped it in sage shadow and embossed it with iridescent ice ep. The sentiment is from all year cheer and also embossed. All in all this was a fun card to create!
Flu update! My daughters family is recovering. Her two younger children went back to school yesterday. They have to wear masks because they still have a cough. Other than that they are fine. However her oldest has been attacked by the dirty swine. She has some underlying health conditions and could really use your prayers. The two younger kids had the shot and got sick anyway. Taeler's dr. didn't want her to have it.... don't really know why! Makes ya wonder ... huh? We are all hoping and praying she has a mild case!

Have yourself a great day!

Kiddo's Christmas

Good Morning!

I have a very simple card for you today! It's for one of my grand kids! They love to get things in the mail. I did cover 3 challenges with this card.

1. Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge #45
2. Stamp TV Potluck Friday #36
3.Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #39

Obviously my sketch came from Mercy. Stamp Tv required snow and Flourishes required a border of some kind. The only stamping on this card is the sentiment. It is from Creative Clear Stamps " Let it Snow". I was digging through my paper looking for inspiration and found this paper with the snowmen. My grand kids will love this! I made my snowflakes with my cricket. I started this card with real red layered with basic black and whisper white. My punch border is SU scallop punch. It's a pretty simple card all in all!

Have yourself a great day!

Happy B Day Donna!

Good Morning!

I hope this post finds everyone well! A few years ago when I first started stampin, my big sis sent me a birthday card. She used this image from Art Impressions. This is Madge and I love her! LOL! Terri's card is one of my very favorite cards and I cherish it! I was in total awe at what she could do..... the coloring..... glitter on the shoes.....yes I cased my sister!

This card is for a dear friend of mine, her birthday is coming up and I love to make her laugh! She's had some hard knocks in her life and always comes up smiling! She is my age which means she is going threw menopause! Madge knows exactly what that is all about! Hee! Hee!

This is the inside of the card! The sentiment is from Creative Clear Stamps. Isn't it just the funniest? This card is for their challenge at A Fairy Creative Place. All we had to do is add buttons! I have a button on the front and on the inside. My card base is ballet blue, layered with whisper white and dp from a mat stack. Madge was colored with a combination of SU markers and prisma colored pencils. I used OMS and blending stumps from Gina K to blend. I love how this turned out and I know it will give Donna a good laugh! Oh and thank you Terri for the inspiration!

Truly Thankful!

Good Sunday Afternoon!

I can't believe the day is half gone! My house is clean, laundry is done...... now all I can do is play with paper! ;))

My card today is for two challenges:

Stampin' Sisters in Christ
Anyone for Anya?

The challenge for Stampin' Sisters in Christ is based on this scripture:
Chronicles 16:34 “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” (NIV)
The challenge for Anyone for Anya is a sketch challenge. That being said onto my card. My card base is not quite nave layered with kraft and very vanilla. The second panel is not quit navy layered with a piece of very vanilla that I embossed. The third panel is not quite navy and a piece of dotted velum. The forth panel.... you guessed it kraft layered with not quite navy and very vanilla! My sentiment is elegant thank you from SU.

Be sure and check out the new articles Carol and Bill have written!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Bloomin Wonderful!

Good Afternoon!

Is everyone having a great weekend? It's the weekend..... it has to be great! LOL! As a rule I only work half a day on Saturday. Today however I had to put seven hours in. :( Oh well, I'm home now and have the laundry going .. So now I can play with paper!

My card today is for two challenges... Are you surprised? I've chosen Jugs 4 and Crazy 4 Challenges 8. For Jugs 4 we were to add three geometrical elements. I have a rectangle, circle and square. I tucked the corner of my square under the focal image. Crazy 4 Challenges is a dimensional challenge. We had to make our own flowers. I haven't made little flowers like this since I was a kid. That was a long time ago.... believe me! Okay back to my card! :)) I stamped my focal image from Su's Thoughts and Prayers. I then made my little flowers and attached them. My card base is chocolate chip, layered with whisper white and dp from a mat stack. My sentiment, square and circle were cut out with nesties. Well off to finish my laundry!

Have a great day!

Beautiful You

Good Evening!

I hope everyone is well! Sorry I was MIA yesterday! It was just one of those days! Well today was way better! It's pouring rain.... great for staying home and playing with paper!
My card today is for Color Throwdown and the Stamp TV sketch challenge. The colors to be used are purely
pomegranate ,certainly celery and taken with teal. Well since purely pomegranate was an in color way before I started stampin, I had to use rich razzelberry.... sigh! My card base is taken with teal, layered with whisper white and rich razzelberry. Not sure where my image came from. I stamped it at my sisters I think! Not so sure! LOL! My sentiment is from the Verve set called beautiful you.

Good Morning to You!

I hope this post finds everyone well! My little sis has been at it again. She has a new article on "Gift giving with Paper Crafts". Our own Gina K and Beate Johns are spotlighted! It's a great article... pop over and take a look!
My card is a totally a nontraditional holiday card! It combines Mojo Monday and A Fairy Creative Place challenges! Of coarse my sketch is from Mojo Monday and my color combo is from A Fairy Creative Place. We are to think black tie and evening gowns! We can only use black, gray and white. No other color..... EKKKKKK! I so wanted to color that little nose orange! LOL! I really wanted to ink up my stamps I received from Creative Clear Stamps. I bought these with my 10% off code I received with my badge. This little snowman is just the cutest! He is from one of their new sets called Let it Snow! The card is pretty basic.... I used Gina K luxury white for my card base! I layered with black and dp from a mat stack. I made the little fella all glittery and added stickles to the snowflakes on the top panel to make them shine! Well this is my nontraditional black tie and evening gown snowman! Hee!Hee!

Good Morning!

I have done something way cool! I made a folder in my bookmarks just for challenges. I went through all the challenges I had marked and separated them into sub-folders by the days of the week. Now I just click on Tuesday and find all the challenges for that day.... How cool is that! I had marked a lot of challenges that I had never played. Mercy's Tuesday Challenge would be one of those! Being a sketch challenge lover, this is right up my alley! Mercy's sketch is the inspiration for today's card!

I changed the sketch up a bit! Sometimes I just can't help myself! LOL! I instead of the squares I used circles. My card base is soft suede layered with very vanilla and always artichoke. I used a texturz plate to emboss the always artichoke. My side circles are very vanilla layered with autumn traditions. My focal image was cut out with nesties.
