Dog Days of Summer

Happy Monday Friends!

It"s Magical Monday and I set the challenge for this week!

My challenge is " Dog Days of Summer" ! Just take your 

inspiration from this old phrase! It can mean so many things!

I used "Mouse Friends Ball and Book" from Paper Cupcakes!

This image screams the dog days of summer! What could be

better than sitting on the beach with a good book to read? So

Magical Monday!

Good Magical Morning!

It's time for another challenge at TMITA/PCC!

I happen to be the hostess this week! Guess 

what I have for a challenge.... a sketch, I know

your surprised huh? You can stretch it, rotate it,

reverse it etc. as long as the original sketch can

still be seen!

 

You can use any image you've acquired so far.

I use one of the new ones she has posted in her store

Paper Cupcakes. The winner of the drawing this week 

will be able to choose any image from Paper Cupcakes. 

Nina is so generous!

The image is called Tulips. I colored my image with

copics. My card base is rich razzelberry layered with

whisper white and cottage wall dp. I flipped my own 

sketch, how funny is that? I can't wait to see what you

come up with !

Magical Monday!

Good Magical Morning!

I hope all is well out there in cyberspace!

I had a totally awesome weekend. It was

great to spend some time with my son, his

girlfriend and my 3 granddaughters. Fun was

had by all! 

Ok, onto my card. It's Magical Monday... Nina

has the cutest little image this week! Lucky Bear

is his name! Super cute! This week Nilla is our 

hostess and she want distressing.

Use any technique for distressing, roughing up your paper 

with your scissors, distressing with inks, sanding, scraping, 

pounding (hehe - do this method if your are mad at someone 

with your meat tenderizer ;o) ~ any technique you would 

consider a method to distress!

 

This was a really fun card! I colored my Luck Bear

with prisma color pencils and OMS. Found the most

wild paper I could find..... it's a kids card hehehe! My

distressing was done with a sanding block. I'm off to find

my mojo ! See you soon!

I Heart You

               Good Morning!

   Can you believe it's February? The month of love! It's also Magical Monday.... 

This week Sue is our host! This is her challenge to us......

             I'd like to see the image used in a Valentine gift tag with some stitching somewhere on it. (Stitching can be with thread or also can be hand drawn).

    My card is an easel card. I love making these! SCS has a great tutorial here. 

Nina's cute "I Heart You" image is perfect for this challenge . My card base is rididnghood red layered with

whisper white and sending love dp. My focal image was colored with prisma color pencils and OMS. I cut my heart out of sending love dp and sewed it on with my machine, leaving the top open to slide my tag in.

This is the prize Nina is offering up for this weeks challenge.

Mercy it's another take!

  Good Morning!

I have another image from Paper Cupcakes to share with you! I just can't get enough of these! They are so much fun! This one is called " Moss covered Bird House". I love, love, love old dead stumps.... so much life continues after the tree has died. You know like bugs and birds and things! LOL! Any hoo onto my card! I made this card for 2 challenges.... Papertake Weekly and Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. My card base is melon mambo layered with whisper white and razzelberry lemonade dp. My birdhouse was colored with prisma color pencils and OMS!

Magical Miss Kitty

Good Magical Monday!
      Danielle is our host at TMITA/PCC this week. Nina has provided us with this totally cute image called Miss Kitty and Danielle wants us to us stripes somewhere on our project! Miss Kitty was colored with prisma color pencils and OMS. My card base is riding hood red layered with whisper white and ski slope dp!  I paper pieced  Miss Kitty's skirt and bow with ski slope dp. This was one fun image to work with! You should check out Paper Cupcakes and check out the rest of Nina's super cute images!

 You have arrived on the 6th stop of the

"There's Magic in the  Air" Recipe Blog Hop!

         I am so excited, this is my very first hop! Nina has so much in store for everyone joining in the hop! The image Nina has asked me to use is the Mouse Cupcake. My card base is pretty in pink layered with whisper white and tea party dp. Mouse cupcake was colored with SU markers and blender pens. I ran the cupcake paper through a crimper to make it look like a real cupcake cup!

My favorite treat during the holidays is pumpkin rolls, so I am sharing my recipe!


Pumpkin Rolls

Beat & set aside

•  3 eggs
• 1 c. sugar
• 2/3 c. pumpkin
• 1 tsp lemon juice

Sift together

• 3/4 c. flour
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• 2 tsp. cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1 tsp. ginger
• 1/2 tsp vanilla  

Filling ( cream together)

•  6 oz. cream cheese
• 4 tsp. margarine
• 2 tsp. vanilla
• 1 c. powdered sugar

Fold dry ingredients into pumpkin mixture. Spread on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 min. on 375'. Place cake on a towel covered with powdered sugar.Roll up and let cool. Then unroll and fill with cream cheese filling, roll up again and wrap in foil. Refrigerate.

Ok, on to my card! My image is from Pink

Cat Studio . Isn't he just the coolest snowman

ever? I colored him with re-inkers and blender

pens from SU. His candle is covered with

crystal effects to make it look real! My card

base is garden green layered with whisper white

and dp from a mat stack! I then added a few

snowflakes punched out with a MS stamp, and

there you have it!

Mojo Monday 116

        Good Morning!
 I'm back with my 2nd post! I couldn't miss Mojo Monday! As you know I love this challenge! My focal image is Skating By from TMITA. He was a free digi a few weeks ago on Magical Monday! My card base is ridinghood red layered with whisper white and ski slope dp. My little image was colored with prisma color pencils and OMS. I added a sentiment from Christmas greetings and there you have! Make sure to scroll down and check out my big secret! That's it for today!

My Great Big Fat Secret!

                        
             Good Morning!

  Yep, that's my big, fat secret! I have actually known for about 3 weeks now! See I told you I could keep a secret! I can't tell you how honored I am that Nina May has invited me to work with her and her wonderful team! Thanks so much Selma for putting in a good word for me! I really look forward to working with Danielle ,Kim , Leigh Anne ,Nilla ,Olga and of coarse Selma .     Did you notice Olga is in there? She keeps a secret too!

Ok, onto my first card for Magical Monday! Kim's challenge for us is:

"Clean and Simple card with limitations on what you can use (e.g., no brads, bows, or anything that would make it challenging to mail) and a color requirement PINK, of course, must appear on your card somewhere."

This was a really fun image to work with. My coloring was done with prisma color pencils and OMS. The card base is chocolate chip layered with whisper white and dp from a mat stack. Glitter pens were used  on the candy canes and diamond stickles on the hat fur. On the inside, a pocket was created for a gift card. Be sure and come out for the blog hop on Wednesday the 9th!
