Mercy another Sketch!

     Good Morning!

   I recieved my SU yesterday...... Yea , fun, fun, fun! I ordered a couple of the new "cling " stamp sets. I have to tell you , they're awesome! The rubber is of coarse SU quality, so you get a nice clear image. I will have cards coming up to give you a peak!

  I used Mercy's sketch for this card. I had to flip it.... it just worked better  that way for me ! LOL! My card base is whisper white layered with paper de la seire. New in the occasions mini catalog. My sentiment is from well scripted also in the mini! Well that's it for today.... back to work!

Good Morning!

 I had a great day at work yesterday!

When I got there I didn't have a single

client booked. I arrived at 7AM ......

Started doing hair at 8AM and didn't

stop doing hair until 5PM.... non stop!

I was toast by the time I got home!LOL!

My card is the last "man" card I need for January!

Yea.... skip in circles, jump up and down! :)

This is for my brother. He is a woodsie kinda guy,

with a great sense of humor! I am entering this in

Papertake Weekly Challenge

The challenge is a sketch.... I know no surprise...

me doing a sketch challenge ;0) My card base is

close to coco, layered with basic black and dp from

a mat stack. The only stamping is the Happy BD. I'm

not sure where that stamp came from but I use it a lot!

It's a CASE!

       Good Morning!

         Well it's back to work for me today :(  I think I like being a woman of leisure! LOL! No really I'm ready to go back to work! I've only left my house a couple of times in 4 days :)
  News flash! Carol has a new article  "New in 2010"

        As you can tell by my title my card is a case. Does anyone follow The Scalloped Edge? Well I do and Jackie does beautiful work. I cased this card of hers! Of coarse I changed things up a bit! My basic layout is the same. I love how she did the stitching on her card, so I did the same. My card base is chocolate chip layered with bashful blue and dp from a mat stack. I sponged the edges with creamy carmel . My sentiment is from well scripted. I am really happy with how this turned out! Hope you like it!

Magical Monday is just Ducky!

                Good Magical Monday Morning!

     I have to say I LOVE working with Nina May's cute images. She is such a talented artist! You can get her great digi's from her store Paper Cupcakes. She has a great selection!
     Ok onto my card. This week at TMITA  Nilla is our host. She wants us to add something sparkling! I put glitter on Elvis's hat! He looks just ducky! Sorry I couldn't resist! I love ducks..... so when Nina let us pick any image from her store for this challenge, I picked Elvis! It was a hard choice because Nina has so many cute images! My card base is whisper white,layered with bashful blue and dp from my stash. I colored Elvis with prisma colored pencils and OMS. I added crystal effects to the water puddle and his little red boots! My sentiment was computer generated. I can see me using this image a lot! Make sure you check out Paper Cupcakes! Man Card!

                              
                                 Good Morning!

Ok, it's another MAN card! LOL! I need 3 man cards

for January! This one was really fun to make! I am entering

it in Selma's "Blast from the Past" challenge on Stamp TV. We are to use color pencils and OMS. I used prisma pencils and OMS!

      The focal point on my card is Earl from Art Impressions. He

is one of the golden oldies. I just love the golden oldies! I tried

to dress him like an old golfer guy! My card base is bashful blue,

layered with green galore ,yo yo yellow and dp from a mat stack!

I enlarged the golf ball..... the older you get the bigger your golf balls should be! ROTFLOL! Well that's it for today!

Life after Christmas!

Good Morning!

Did everyone survive Christmas? I don't

know about you, but normal will be good!

I have several birthday's in January so you

 will be seeing a lot of BD cards!My first one

is a "guy" card. The hardest kind for me! LOL!

My card sketch came from C4C17 , fun sketch!

I started with chocolate chip as my card base, which

is layered with baja breeze and sweet pea DP. My

focal image comes from an old set called cold water

friends. My label was created with one of the new

corner punches from SU. I have to say... it felt good

to do a challenge again!

Merry Christmas Eve!

Good Morning!

I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays! I love Christmas!

I actually get four days off in a row! It will be like a mini

vacation! My project today was made for the girls that work

for me! I made the little purses with this tutorial at SCS. I

really liked the whole look on the tutorial so they are a case!

Each set has 4 note cards and envelopes. I thought they would be

quick and easy to make ...... they took me a while! My base

card stock is not quite navy layered with whisper white. The

images are from herb expressions. I colored the stamp with

not quite navy and always artichoke markers and stamped

each image. That's what took so long!

A Fairy Sweet Sketch!

Good Morning to You!

   Are you ready for Christmas?

I am.... finally! We went to town

yesterday and I have to tell you the

highlight of my day was..... Saying

Merry Christmas to perfect strangers!

Yes I was politically incorrect by not

saying "happy holidays" I prefer to

keep Christ in Christmas!

OK, off my soap box and onto my card!

  This card is for Sweet Sunday sketch #49 and A Fairy Creative Place challenge. We are to do our favorite technique for A Fairy Creative Place.  One of the first things I learned was how to emboss! I still love the effect it gives a card!

I was in need of an "off beat" card! I think this fits the bill!

My card base is bermuda bay layered with whisper

white and sweep pea dp. My sentiment is

celebrations and is heat embossed. I then  nestled it on two
different label dies cuts. I switched the sketch up a bit,
but all the elements are there!

Huge update! The wonderful and talented Victoria pulled my name
out of the hat for her totally awesome blog candy! Thanks Victoria!

Mojo Monday

I'm back! If my mojo continues today, like it started

I will have a great stamping day :) The last few days

not so good ! My mojo was on a holiday! LOL!

My card today is really frilly! It's a girl thing! I guess

that means there is a girl deep down inside! Seriously....

My card base is mellow moss layered with whisper white

and sweet pea dp. That rhymed.... hee, hee. HELP !!

My sentiment is from well scripted.... added a few pearls

and a ribbon , there you have it!

I had so much fun with this card!

My card base is basic black layered with whisper

white and holiday lounge dp. My moose was colored

with prisma color pencils and OMS. My snowflakes are crayola

glitter paper punched out with MS's snowflake punch. My

sentiment was computer generated.

How is everyone today?

OMGosh can you believe it?  I didn't even realize I didn't post

until I jumped online this morning! Rush, rush make a card! I had

this cute little cupcake from PaperCupCake Stamps.

This is  a digi stamp and great fun to work with! If your not familiar with PCC it is Nina May's new store. She has a lot of super cute images!This image is called fancy surprise. Nina used it for her blog hop challenge on TMITA .

Ok, onto my card..... card base is so saffron layered with whisper white & DP from a mat stack. My sketch is Sweet Sunday Sketch # 48.  It also works for Selma's  blast from the past challenge on Stamp TV! I'm stuck on cutsie again..... sorry! of my favorites! Rich razzelberry, kraft

and taken with teal. My card base is rich

razzelberry layered with kraft and sweet

pea dp. My focal image is from Flourishes

poppy patch. I stamped my poppy on kraft

and sponged around it with rich razzelberry.

I love the sentiment,which is also from the

I love these challenges. Nina generously

challenge from one of the design team diva's!

Selma is our hostess this week! She wants

us to "Glitz It Up" add glitter and/or stickles.

Our image to work with this week is Christmas

Arrangement. My card base is always artichoke

layered with whisper white and ruby red. The

focal image was colored with SU markers and

blender pens. I added stickles to the ornaments.

I also finished the inside of the card!

There's Magic in the Air Blog Hop!

 You have arrived on the 6th stop of the

"There's Magic in the  Air" Recipe Blog Hop!

         I am so excited, this is my very first hop! Nina has so much in store for everyone joining in the hop! The image Nina has asked me to use is the Mouse Cupcake. My card base is pretty in pink layered with whisper white and tea party dp. Mouse cupcake was colored with SU markers and blender pens. I ran the cupcake paper through a crimper to make it look like a real cupcake cup!

My favorite treat during the holidays is pumpkin rolls, so I am sharing my recipe!


Pumpkin Rolls

Beat & set aside

•  3 eggs
• 1 c. sugar
• 2/3 c. pumpkin
• 1 tsp lemon juice

Sift together

• 3/4 c. flour
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• 2 tsp. cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1 tsp. ginger
• 1/2 tsp vanilla  

Filling ( cream together)

•  6 oz. cream cheese
• 4 tsp. margarine
• 2 tsp. vanilla
• 1 c. powdered sugar

Fold dry ingredients into pumpkin mixture. Spread on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 min. on 375'. Place cake on a towel covered with powdered sugar.Roll up and let cool. Then unroll and fill with cream cheese filling, roll up again and wrap in foil. Refrigerate.

was stamped  with taken with teal and sponged with sahara sand.

The sentiment is a loose stamp I picked up at a yard sale.

 It's Saturday.... Yay! I have a short day at

 We are to create a card with snowmen/and or

snowflakes. I used a snowflake as you can see!

My card base is Gina K pure luxury white, layered

with ruby red. My focal image is from serene

snowflakes,stamped with versamark and embossed

with clear EP.

a very talented lady! This is the card I cased. Her

card is way more elegant than mine! LOL! My card

base is ruby red layered with whisper white and holiday

lounge dp. The focal image was stamped with versamark

and embossed with gold EP. Pretty simple!

ever? I colored him with re-inkers and blender

pens from SU. His candle is covered with

crystal effects to make it look real! My card

and dp from a mat stack! I then added a few

snowflakes punched out with a MS stamp, and

there you have it!

I changed it up a bit! I used taken with

teal with whisper white. My dp is from

holiday lounge. Not really sure where my

sentiment came from! It's Su, but I don't

My Great Big Fat Secret!

                        
             Good Morning!

  Yep, that's my big, fat secret! I have actually known for about 3 weeks now! See I told you I could keep a secret! I can't tell you how honored I am that Nina May has invited me to work with her and her wonderful team! Thanks so much Selma for putting in a good word for me! I really look forward to working with Danielle ,Kim , Leigh Anne ,Nilla ,Olga and of coarse Selma .     Did you notice Olga is in there? She keeps a secret too!

Ok, onto my first card for Magical Monday! Kim's challenge for us is:

"Clean and Simple card with limitations on what you can use (e.g., no brads, bows, or anything that would make it challenging to mail) and a color requirement PINK, of course, must appear on your card somewhere."

This was a really fun image to work with. My coloring was done with prisma color pencils and OMS. The card base is chocolate chip layered with whisper white and dp from a mat stack. Glitter pens were used  on the candy canes and diamond stickles on the hat fur. On the inside, a pocket was created for a gift card. Be sure and come out for the blog hop on Wednesday the 9th! Merry Christmas

        Good Morning!

              Ok... while blurpfing (blog surfing) ! I went to Olga's
and she has a secret too! How cool is that? She won't tell me her's.. I begged. :) What can it be? Oh please, please tell! I'll tell ALL on Monday!



         Onto my card! I created this card for 2RedBananas , which was to create a Christmas card. My image is a digi from Pink Cat Studio . I started with  real red as my card base and layered with whisper white and dp from merry moments. Santa was colored with prisma color pencils and OMS. I used diamond stickles on his hat and fur. His beard has liquid pearls for some dimension. I then added a few snowflakes cut out with the MS snowflake punch. There you have it! Notice how short my posts are when I have a secret?

Anything but a card!

                        

                                                                     Good Afternoon!

       I hope all is well out there in cyberspace! I'm off work for the weekend ! Whoo Hoo! It's really cold so I will have to stay in and stamp..... I know, but somebody has to do it! Guess I will make the sacrifice! LOL!

        For Magical Monday over at There's Magic in the Air we are to make anything but a  card.  I made a basket full of these little party favors .  I found the pattern and tutorial at Cardz TV.  This is a pretty cool site. They have tutorials for everything they make!  My party favors came together rather quickly!  I used the image from TMITA.  Nina May has a free digi every Monday for the new challenge!  This little character is called snowy flight!  The dp is from merry moments. I filled them with a little candy  and there you have it! They were super quick and simple!

I better get off here.... I have a secret and I'm a hairdresser. You know how hard it is for a hairdresser to keep her mouth shut! Just kidding ... I keep a secrets really, really good!  If your around on Monday pop in and I will tell all! Hee! Hee!

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch

Good Morning!

I hope everyone is well! This will be a short post

today! It's actually last night while I'm posting! LOL

I had a long day at work and a 1 1/2 hr workout! I

need sleep! I started this card with every intention to

combine Mercy's sketch with the Diva Coffee Break

Designs challenges. I just couldn't get all the color to

work form the Diva's ! So my card is for Mercy's

sketch challenge! As you can see there is little stamping

on this card! Only the sentiment! My card base is melon

mambo layered with whisper white and rich razzelberry

dp. Well I'm off to bed! By the time you see this I will have

gotten my 8hrs in, and be ready for a new day!

Flourishes 44

   Good Morning!

               I have a fresh new card for you today! It is for the challenge over at Flourishes. This weeks host for Flourishes is Maki Jones. Her challenge to us is CAS. Create a cas card! This was perfect for my mood! LOL! My card was really easy to put together! My card base is Gina K pure luxury white. My focal image is from A year in flowers and the sentiment is from SU. My focal image is resting on a piece of melon mambo. Added a few pearls and there you have it! CAS quick and easy!
OHHHHH... the dentist gave me a clean bill of health! My tooth is now fine! Yea!

Mojo 115 & Cas 43

                 Good Mojo Monday!

             What a great sketch to jump start one's mojo! My card of coarse is for Mojo Monday... it's also for SCS CAS 43. Cas 43 is to remake a card. My remake is for this card. I tell you what, my remake is way better. I hated the card in it's former life! I posted it anyway and everyone was so kind with their comments! I know they were really thinkin.... OMGosh WHAT was she thinking! LOL! Thank you dear friends! Ok, back to my card! My card base is always artichoke layered with whisper white and dp from a matt stack. The focal image is from lovely as a tree. I colored my tree with SU markers with the thumping technique. I changed almost everything about the other card except for the image I used! Well I gotta scoot. My MIL is having a procedure done today..... please keep her in your prayers!
