Thankful!

Good Sunday Morning!

I hope everyone is enjoying there extended weekend! I have tons of house cleaning to get done now that everyone is gone! I plan to sneak lots of stamping in between chores! My card today is for these challenges!

I love doing "pretty" cards! So funny, cause I am a self proclaimed tom boy!

This sketch from The Sweetest Thing was really fun to work with! My card base is Gina K pure luxury white, layered with melon mambo and delicate lines dp. My focal image is Flourish's nasturtiums colored with re-inkers and blender pens from SU. The sentiment is from Verve's beautiful you. She has such great sentiments with the coolest font! Well I must scoot... lots to do! I will be back with a blog award from my dear friend Olga!

Have yourself a super great day!

Goin Green

Good Morning!

Well I got all my house work done yesterday! Whoo hoo! With just DH and myself , I only really clean once a week! I can't complain! LOL!
My card today is for the color challenge over at Stamp TV. We are to use ivory and green. No other colors. It was actually pretty easy. I have to say now that all my ink pads are right in front of me..... color choices are made easier! With this card I chose the sentiment from Verve's "Miracles Blossom". My flowers are also from a Verve set called " Beautiful You". Once I had chosen my colors and stamps I started diggin through paper! My card base is mellow moss layered with very vanilla and dp from a matt stack. My sentiment was stamped on very vanilla with mellow moss ink. The flowers were done the same way and cut out! I added a few twigs from MS , some ribbon and there you have it!

Here is the inside of the card! This card is an all purpose card! With out a sentiment on the inside, it can be personalized for just the perfect occasion! Well that's it for today!

May the good Lord bless your socks off!

CCS 6

Good Morning!

This card is for the color challenge over at a Fairy Creative Place ! We are to use ruby red, kraft and carmel. I really struggled with this combo for some reason! This has set on my counter for a couple of days! I used the sketch from Mercy's Tuesday sketch and was going to combine the two challenges! Well it never came together! So I made a different card for Mercy's challenge and this one set and annoyed me for a couple of days! LOL! Well I finished it...... it's ok I guess! My card base is kraft layered with ruby red. My sentiment is from Verve's beautiful you. I sponged around it with creamy carmel! That's it..... no more suffering!

Have yourself a great day!

Split negative!

Good Morning!

I hope all is well with my cyber friends! Sorry this is late.... I couldn't get a good picture last night! This one isn't the best, but it will have to do! LOL! I had one awesome day yesterday.... I always look at my email first thing and I had an email from Olga. That's nothing unusual but she had in big red letters I had won Timeless Tuesday at Flourish's! Yea! I get to go shopping! To fun! They have such a great selection of stamps, I can't make up my mind! I have to decide between 3 sets I really like! What a dilemma! I'm so glad Olga takes care of me! Thanks for the letting me know Olga!
Ok onto my card.... This card is for Mercy's Tuesday sketch and Stvtc 39. The sketch is obvious, the technique is split negative. This is a really fun technique. It took a bit to get exactly what I wanted. The card is really pretty in real life! I used not quite navy as my card base layered with whisper white. My focal image is from Verve's beautiful you. I love the silver embossing on the not quite navy! Well I better scoot! I need to get ready for work!

Have an awesome day!

Beautiful You

Good Evening!

I hope everyone is well! Sorry I was MIA yesterday! It was just one of those days! Well today was way better! It's pouring rain.... great for staying home and playing with paper!
My card today is for Color Throwdown and the Stamp TV sketch challenge. The colors to be used are purely
pomegranate ,certainly celery and taken with teal. Well since purely pomegranate was an in color way before I started stampin, I had to use rich razzelberry.... sigh! My card base is taken with teal, layered with whisper white and rich razzelberry. Not sure where my image came from. I stamped it at my sisters I think! Not so sure! LOL! My sentiment is from the Verve set called beautiful you.

Have your self a great, great weekend!

MTSC 43

Good Morning!

I have done something way cool! I made a folder in my bookmarks just for challenges. I went through all the challenges I had marked and separated them into sub-folders by the days of the week. Now I just click on Tuesday and find all the challenges for that day.... How cool is that! I had marked a lot of challenges that I had never played. Mercy's Tuesday Challenge would be one of those! Being a sketch challenge lover, this is right up my alley! Mercy's sketch is the inspiration for today's card!

I changed the sketch up a bit! Sometimes I just can't help myself! LOL! I instead of the squares I used circles. My card base is soft suede layered with very vanilla and always artichoke. I used a texturz plate to emboss the always artichoke. My side circles are very vanilla layered with autumn traditions. My focal image was cut out with nesties. The sentiment is from Verve's Asian Flair.

Thanks for dropping by! The coffee is always on! LOL!

Have yourself a great day!

Bloom A Year of Flowers

Well Good Morning!

I have to say, I didn't get much stampin done this weekend. That means I will have to stamp in the evenings...... it's a sacrifice, but I will step up to the plate! LOL!
My card today was inspired by a calender photo! My card base is rich razzelberry layered with basic black and razzelberry lemonade dp. The focal point is stamped with a year of flowers and floral symphony. That's pretty much it!

May the good Lord bless your socks off!

I flipped the sketch on this card. Used a sentiment from a Verve set called flora symphony. My card base is more mustard, layered with always artichoke and hakiu dp.
The scallops and flowers were punched out with SU punches.

Carol has a great article again! Provo Crafts Cuttlebug and it's many uses!

On to card two......

This card started with chocolate kiss from Gina K . I layered with real red and whisper white. The patterned paper is chocolate chip dsp. My stamped image is unknown.

Well that's it for today!

STVPF27

Good Morning!

TGIF!!! It's been a crazy week! We are supposed to have temps near 100 today! How crazy is that! School starts next week and our summer is gone.....:( I never did understand why the kids have to go back to school just before labor day! They only go four days for the first two week of school! Sigh!

I cased this card of Ami Sheffers over at Pickled Paper Designs. If you aren't familiar with her work you should pop over there and take a look! She does gorgeous work! When I grow up I want to be as good as she is! ROTFLOL! (I will never grow up!). OK back to my card! My card base is Gina K luxury chocolate kiss, layered with very vanilla and DP from a mat stack. The Sentiment is from Verve. My buttons and lace are from my Mom in law! I cut my focal point with nesties and sponged with the die still attached.

Be sure and check out Carol's new article in the Examiner.......
Bill has an new article too!

The sentiment and ribbon are both from Verve. Julee put a little ribbon and a thank you stamp in one of my orders..... That was so cool! Thanks Julee! LOL!

Mojo 100 #5

Good Morning!

This is my submission for the Mojo 100 sketch challenge. I think this is the last one! It has been a long week! I'm not used to being creative first thing in the morning! It's like work! ekkkkkk! As you can tell I am not at my creative best in the wee hours! I do better on the weekends! Usually I make enough cards for the week over the weekend. At least I don't have to be to work early today! LOL!

Ok,to my card! I am not totally happy with this one! It's way to busy with the DP, in my opinion! Anyhoo..... I started with Gina K black for my card base. I layered with whisper white and rich razzelberry. I thought any card made with rich razzelberry would be awesome. Boy was I disappointed! LOL! My UGLY DP is from a matt stack. The focal point is from the Verve set Beautiful You. My bow, well what can I say.... I had swollen, fat, fumbling menopausal fingers this morning! ROTFLOL!

Have yourself a great day!

MOJO 100

I'm back!

Mojo Monday! My fav..... I don't know why, but I love Mojo Monday! This is the 100th sketch Julee has pumped out!

My card is done on Gina K luxury white card stock. I love that stuff! I used a Verve set called Floral Symphony for my sentiment. I then used, you guessed it! A year of Flowers for my focal point! The Dp is Basic grey wisteria. It's also the first time I have done a ribbon like that! I saw a card Jennie Harper had done with a ribbon that way. Just had to do it! Hee! Hee! Thanks Jennie!
